- Day: 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m
- Evening: 6.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m
- Patient Rest Periods: 1.00 p.m. to 3.00 p.m.
(Coronary Care and Intensive Care only – please refrain from visiting during these times.)
- Ash Ward visiting times; 5.00pm to 8.00pm daily
All visitors must vacate the hospital premises within 30 minutes of the above times.
Special visiting arrangements may be made with the nurse in charge where a patient is critically ill or in long stay facilities.
General Visiting Arrangements

- Only two visitors are permitted to visit at any one time.
- Visitors are forbidden to bring alcohol and drugs into the hospital.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- Visitors are asked to refrain from bringing non snack food into the hospital.
Children

- Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to visit, unless special permission has been given by the nurse in charge.
- Children must remain under the supervision of the visiting adult at all times.
Visitors Responsibilities

- Respect the visiting policy and observe hospital rules.
- Patients and their visitors are requested to be as quiet as possible in both the ward and corridor areas.
- Refrain from visiting if suffering from any infections.
- Have consideration for staff doing their job.
- Comply with any request to leave the patient’s room, to facilitate care.
- Observe confidentiality.
- Keep the hospital clean and inform the staff of any cleaning concerns
- Be responsible for personal belongings.
- Wash your hands when entering and exiting the wards.
Anti-Social Behavior

Inappropriate acts of aggression or threatening behavior to staff is not acceptable, security will be notified and those involved in such actions will be asked to leave the premises.

Security Department

The security at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is provided by a security contract company with the security guards under the control and management of the Hospital Security Manager, Mr. Bernie Hanley.
The Security Department provides a 24 hour cover throughout the hospital with security guards in the Emergency Department, the Main Concourse and on hospital patrol. The hospital grounds and the outside units are covered by a mobile patrol. All units are in radio/telephone contact with a base station and also by pager.
Our aim is to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
